Storytelling
is a shared
experience
around campfires
and in rocking
chairs, heard in
words and lyrics,
seen in brush
strokes and
dance.
At the Minnesota Humanities Center, we
seek to share those personal stories through
experiences focused on immersing guests in
the experiences and perspectives of neighbors
whom they might not yet know. Stand where
they stand, see what they see, hear what
they hear – stories become more real with
elevated understanding. We find not only
a shared appreciation of differences, but a
new awareness about our similarities.
In the way that many threads become a
vibrant fabric, and many beautiful different
fabrics become a quilt, words or drumbeats
become our shared stories.
Offering public and private experiences
in-person and virtually, MHC celebrates our
many partners by co-creating engagement
opportunities in education, civic renewal,
immersive adventures and other reflective
programming.
