means we recognize

To gather conjures church basements, living rooms,
coffee shops, gymnasiums, and concert halls.
When we laugh together, we become family.
When grief is shared, we know we are not alone.
To be part of something larger makes us larger,
part of a legacy, the resiliency of a shared past
and a trajectory toward the future.
